Keira Knightly recently showed off her newly minted wedding band and it certainly was a surprise! While her engagement ring is set in platinum she chose a plain yellow gold wedding band. Mixing metals is common place today, but it's rare to see a wedding band set in different tones. Perhaps she'll start the newest wedding ring trend?
Would you do this for your everyday look? Or is it totally a don't for wedding and engagement rings?
I may have a slight obsession with mermaids. When I was a little girl I would go to sleep with my legs in mermaid fin position and pray that I would wake up transformed, into a real mermaid. I still sing "Part of Your World" and swim around like The Little Mermaid in the lake at our cottage. I've come to accept that I will never be half woman, half fish, and that this is probably for the best...but I am still drawn to all things mermaid, scaly, and iridescent. The result is a fun, feminine, and totally flapper appropriate bracelet. Now if only we could still have parties like Gatsby's...
Bright colours and neon shades are being ushered in as the temperatures continue to rise. So ditch your greys, taupes, and black in favour of a little splash of colour. One of my favorites is a bright chartreuse. Clumsy name, but this colour gives a sleek and polished look. At the very least we can accent our wardrobe with a little colour, right?!
The 2013 Metropolitan Museum's annual Costume Institute Gala - commonly known as the MET Gala - did not disappoint. The stars brought the glamour in their best fashion-forward attire and accessories all while feting the museum's "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme.
Most chose to pay homage to the punk rock theme with edgy gowns, safety pins, studded jackets, over the top ear cuffs, and ornate headpieces. I've rounded up the most noteworthy jewelry and accessories from the night. Did you have a favorite look?
